Avery Jenkins Wins the Xtown

Pre-Doubles Starting Soon!
On March - 30 - 2007
MTL will be running 3 weeks of pre-doubles starting April 10. All 3 events will take place at Cedar Hills. Ace Pools will be paid out that night. 3 dollars to enter plus 2 dollar optional ace pool. Sign up starts at 5:20, draw for teams at 5:50, tee at 6. Here’s the format
April 10th
Bring your own partner. To qualify for AM AM, both players must be ams. Teams play in the division of the higher division of the teammates.
April 17th
One Disc. Bring your best disc! Teams will be drawn in the traditional doubles format, however each person can only bring one discs. One backup may be brought as long as it is the same disc (meaning if you bring a roc, your secondary disc must also be a roc). If a player loses his disc in the water or elsewhere, he may use his backup. However, this is the only reason why.
April 24th
Best Score – Teams wil be drawn in the normal format. Both players will play singles and the teammates will take the best score from the hole.

24th Am Crosstown complete!

Clap. You hear it everyday. Some people use it as laughter, others for praise. Sometimes it’s not meant for any type emotion, only as a way to get something off of your hand. But Sunday afternoon on the 17th tee, the clapping sound meant much more to Kyle Jackson.
As Jackson threw a perfect a drive down the chute of the narrow 17th fairway at Cedar Hills, he let out one single clap. This clap signaled to himself, the gallery, and those in his group that it was over, that he knew he had won the 24th edition of the Dogwood Amateur Crosstown Classic.

2nd Day Am Dogwood Crosstown

Kyle Jackson wins the Advanced field and gets his entry paid for the Pro Crosstown. Danny Hill wins the Intermediate division. Stephanie Greene wins the Advanced Womens division with Michelle Horn and Dawn Geist right behind her tying for 2nd. And Brian Hackney takes the Masters division.
