We will be having a workday again at Swingin DBs this coming Sunday. We will be getting started around 9 a.m. on Hole number 7. There is more burning to be done to get the new holes ready by the 28th.

We had a fun snow round at Sunshine and I put my snow skis on and skied
Sunshine all the way from the top of the driveway down to hole 3. It was
sooooooooooooooooo fun but now I am ready for it to get out of here.

Due to the ever increasing possibility of extremely inclement weather I have decided to postpone the HGT event at Borrowed Time until April 11th. I want to stress that I am postponing this event is due to HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS and the strong possibility that Sanford, NC (where I live) may get a brunt of the ice and freezing rain which could leave my pet store without electricity. The HGT event at Borrowed Time is this coming weekend in Yadkinville, NC. JG and crew have another year of work on the course behind them and I am sure the course will reflect the effort. Don’t forget that the awards for the 2009 Yadkin County Bounty will be givin out before the players meeting, so try and get there a little early to accommodate the awards ceremony. While the day started out rainy and ended with high winds and thunderstorms, the
two rounds of golf during the day were absolutely perfect. With a high of close
to 60 and mild wind, you could not have asked for a better climate to chunk some
discs in. As the second round came to a close we received a glimpse of what was
to come, a 15 minute shower with 4 holes to go. (more…)

The first HGT event of the 2010 season is this coming Sunday at TnT Ranch in Farmville, NC. Registration starts at 8:30 with the awards ceremony for the ‘09 season starting at 9:45. I moved the player’s meeting up 15 minutes for this event to allow time for the end of the year awards ceremony. Please try to register by 9:30 to help keep things running smooth. (more…)

The workday last Sunday went better than expect. We “reshaped” the fairway of hole number 9 and cut in the new hole between 9 and 10. The new hole is taking shape and does not need much work to finish.
