The event at Brackett’s Bluff is this coming weekend in Davidson, NC. In talking with David Brackett earlier this week I was impressed to hear some outstanding news from him. After a walk thru from Stan McDaniels of Chralotte Disc Golf, Brackett’s Bluff has been slated to be one of the courses to compete on in the 2012 Worlds Disc Golf Championship. (more…)

128 People showed up for a beautiful day of HGT Disc Golf at Sunshine Acres on Sunday April, 26th. The course was in immaculate shape thanks to Clay, Barry and crew which contributed to smooth play for such a large crowd. As you know the Sunshine Acres HGT event is this Sunday in Knightdale, NC. But what you may no know is that there is going to be awesome weather, fun golf, great grub and 2009 HGT shirt release. The ace pool at Tar River was not hit so we go into Sunday with $95 in the pool and with a more than likely turnout of over 100 people, that means a large ace pool with a lot of “aceable” holes. 95 people turned out to Wind Fest ‘09 at Tar River. The competition was stiff with 20-30 mph winds. Despite the wind and soft ground the weather was beautiful. A huge shout-out to Sharon Hawkins for all of the work put into the Brunswick Stew!!!! (more…)

To those of you coming to Tar River this weekend please try and car pool. Though it will be nice on Sunday, the rain from this weekend will make it kind of soggy in the parking area so parking will be limited.
