2012 Bag Tag Rules

 

The Bag Tag adds another fun element to casual, league, and tournament rounds of disc golf. All Zebulon Disc Golf Club members are eligible to purchase bag tags. Please display your Bag Tag where others can easily see the tag. Have fun and follow the rules and spirit of disc golf!

 

Purpose

The purpose of the Bag Tag is to provide players with an opportunity to compete with other club members while upholding the basic principles of good sportsmanship and passion for the game.  

  • To challenge other playersat a tournament, league event orcasual round during the 2012 season

 

Conduct Policy

  • PDGA rules are implied during challenges and self-officiating by club members should demonstrate mutual respect and promote the spirit of disc golf
  • Bag Tag Holders are expected to have Bag Tags in plain view and readily available at all League and Bag Tag Events held at Zebulon
  • Bag Tags are exchanged immediately after the 1st round of play
  • Forfeiture of Bag Tags may occur if the ZDGC board determines a player has repeatedly avoided challenges or willfully engages in misconduct during a challenge round

 

Automatic Engagement

  • All bag tags are up for challenge at any ZDGC Monthly singles event or Tournament held at Zebulon
  • All bag tags are up for challenge at any PDGA tournament or other league event attended by the Tag Master (Lucas Biggers)or ZDGC board members
  • The Bag Tag Challenge will be held during the 1st round of the event

 

Casual Engagement

  • All ZDGC Bag Tag holders may issue a Tag Challenge to a club member who holds a lower tag number
  • Players may agree upon a Tag Challenge at another course, however, the player with the lower tag number is not required to accept
  • Once a challenge date and time has been agreed upon, all players should make every effort to be at the match. Players found to be in violation of this policy will be subject to review by the board and forfeiture of the Bag Tag may be required

 

Bag Tag Events

  • Funds from Bag Tag and Membership dues will go towards Bag Tag/Member Appreciation Events, oneMid-Year and one final event in December
  • The Bag Tag 2012 Season will end at the December Monthly Tournament 

Awards

  • Awards will be in the form of giveaways at the Bag Tag/Member Appreciation Events
  • You will keep the tag you finish the 2012 season with

  

General Bag Tag Policy

  • Tied Score: The player with the lower bag tag will retain the lower number
  • Club Notification: Players are required to notify the Tag Master of any exchanged Bag Tags
  • Lost Tags: Must be reported immediately to the Tag Master. Atwo dollar replacement fee will be required
