March Monthly Results

It looked like heavy rain Saturday on March 3rd; we had 15 disc golfers out to play the Zebulon Monthly.

The rain came overnight and early in the morning. The players were spared the rain but had to work around a soggy course.

We had a small Pro division with Chase Jernigan taking home the win. Chase finished with a 105, shooting a 57 and a hot round 48. 7 golfers competed in the Advanced division. Mike Kirsch took the win with two solid rounds. Mike shot a 53 and 54 for a 107 total.

Today, we crowned our newest Advanced disc golfer. Lee Ruth beat out 4 other disc golfers to win the Intermediate division. He scored a 120 while shooting 64 and 56 rounds.  

 February Monthly Results 

 It was another warm Saturday in February. On the 4^th, we had 22 disc golfers out to play the Zebulon Monthly. There was an awesome Ace from Derek Greene on Hole 8. Derek’s shot got him the guaranteed $100 Ace Pool.

“Made it to my first Zeb Monthly..new bag tag and tshirt with membership..shot a 55(my new personal record) after turning 55 yesterday..came in second in Advanced with finger issues..ouch..great time with no snow but a little rain this year.. during the second round, played alternate baskets and tees ..THE BIG Z 2012..here we go.”, summed up by Tony Tomasino.

We had a small Pro division with Jeb Bryant taking home the win. Jeb finished with a 103, shooting a 51 and 52.  7 golfers competed in the Advanced division. Brad Lendizan showed not even a broken ankle could hold him back from a win. Brad shot a 58 and a 52 for a 110 total.

Today, we crowned our newest soon to be Advanced disc golfer. Claude Ogden beat out 12 other disc golfers to win the Intermediate division. He scored a 123 while shooting 65 and 58 rounds.  

January Monthly Results

 70 Degrees in January!! The 2012 Zebulon Disc Golf Year began with great weather and 22 disc golfers that took on the Zebulon DG Course this past Saturday at the January Monthly.

In the highly contested Open Division, Brian Schweberger posted top results over the field of 9, with a 101 total for the two rounds played from the course’s regular tee pads the first round and alternates on 6 and 9 the second. Tied in 2^nd, Philip Barthlomew and Chase Jernigan had a 108 with Philip winning a sudden death playoff for sole possesion of 2^nd. In 4^th place, Aaron Rothrock shot a 110.

There were 5 Advanced Amateurs competing with Sam Hendley coming out on top with a 112. In the Intermediate Division, we had 8 golfers. Leading the group was Zebulon’s own, Keith Gibbs, finishing the day tied with Erik Chapman at 117. Keith and Erik battled it out in a sudden death playoff for 1^st. Keith came out on top and won the Intermediate division becoming Zebulon’s newest Advanced disc golfer.
